Eric Garcia

President

Eric started his engineering life as a programmer for the Record Business helping artists sing in tune and play in time. Twenty years ago he gravitated to post production first as an Avid editor and then back into audio as a mixer, sound designer and composer. Eric opened 48 Windows in the early 90’s as a single room facility in Hollywood. Starting in the analog world, he saw the future of digital recording when it first began, and plunged in headfirst and has never looked back. In addition to his sound design, producing and mix talents, Eric is an accomplished guitar player (with jazz and blues tendencies) who’s begun to explore the world of bluegrass and spends most of his spare time leading club jams. You can find his acoustic music at ericgarciamusic.com

Ziv Fisher

Managing Partner

Ziv Fisher hails from Tel Aviv, Israel and came to Los Angeles to study Percussion at The Musicans Institute in 1991. Introduced to Eric Garcia by a mutual friend, he played in a few 48 Windows sessions, officially joining the company in 1994 as a session drummer and percussionist. Always wondering what’s behind the glass, Ziv began engineering in 1996 at the original Hollywood location. As the operation grew, his military experience led him to be the one in charge and he stepped into the position of Studio Manager in 1998 at the Santa Monica facility and later became Eric’s business partner. In addition to running the ship, Ziv continues to play drums on all the music for commercials and albums that 48 Windows produces.

Leah Gabriel Wood

Leah Canter

Audiobook Engineer

Leah began playing the piano at the age of 11, and it was not long before it was clear that she had a natural gift. At the age of 14, her parents brought her to California from Murfreesboro, TN to pursue her dream of acting. After being cast in several commercials, she decided to focus her energy off-screen. She enrolled in Pierce College to major in music and was accepted into the Applied Music Program as a composer. Because of her strong work ethic in the program, Leah stood out and was asked to become a part of the 48 Windows team. She loves the work environment at 48 Windows, and is looking forward to growing with the company. Additionally, she’s collaborating with her professor from the Applied Music Program as an engineer, mixer, and assistant to the composer, and will be debuting their work at the Sundance Film Festival in 2023.

Shellynne Phillips Vontoure

Shellynne Vontoure

Director of Scheduling

Born in Los Angeles, Shellynne graduated from Cal State University, Northridge, and began her post production career as an engineering assistant in a jingle house. Quite appropriate, considering (according to her Mom) at the age of three her favorite songs were commercials! She has since worked both in and outside the studio and joined the 48 Windows family in March 2002. Shellynne brings her caring touch to her roles as Director of Client Services and Scheduling. In her off hours, Shellynne and her husband enjoy taking road trips and visiting Bed & Breakfast Inns for hospitality ideas to try at 48 Windows!
